WATER DIVISION
The Water Division would like to congratulate Water Operator 1, Andrew Teague, who successfully passed his Grade 1 Distribution Certification Exam. His achievement is a great reflection of the team’s dedication to continued learning and professional growth.
Work has begun on the Sycamore Villas project along Homestead Parkway, where a 12-inch water main is being installed. This main will provide essential fire protection for the development, extend water service to support future projects in the area, and eventually create a looped system from Homestead Parkway to Monarch Lane.
Earlier this week, Water Operators Robert Eberle and Andrew Teague excavated around a broken valve on Hollamon Street fix a water main break in the vicinity. A temporary repair has been completed.
The Team also responded to a reported leak at 787 Salt Mine Road, near the meter box. Robert Eberle and Andrew Teague quickly excavated the area and performed a temporary repair to stop the leak. Additional excavation will be necessary to complete a permanent repair, which is scheduled to take place within the next few days.
In addition to these field operations, Water Operator III Kris Stephens conducted the required monthly water quality sampling for ADEQ compliance.
