Following the appointment of former Mayor Dee Jenkins to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors and the swearing-in of Marie Moore as Mayor, a vacancy now exists on the Camp Verde Town Council.
In accordance with Section 2-1-4 of the Camp Verde Town Code, the Council must fill this vacancy by June 16, 2025. The person appointed will serve until the next regularly scheduled Town Council election.
Application Period Now Open
Qualified residents interested in serving on Town Council are encouraged to apply.
Application Deadline: Thursday, May 22, 2025, by 5:00 PM
All completed applications must be submitted in person at Camp Verde Town Hall.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A completed application form
- Certification that they meet the minimum qualifications for office
- Written responses to all application questions
- Optional: Up to two letters of recommendation
Council Vacancy Appointment Timeline
- May 8, 2025 – Application period opens
- May 22, 2025 – Applications due by 5:00 PM
- Week of May 26, 2025 – If more than eight applications are received, a Scoring Committee will review and recommend finalists for interviews
- June 5, 2025 – Town Council conducts interviews during Executive Session
- June 11, 2025 – Town Council appoints the selected applicant at a Special Session; the individual will be sworn in and seated on Council
